Chennai, February 3, 2012: Nova Specialty Surgery, India’s leading Ambulatory Surgical Center Group, today announced its entry into Chennai. Dr. Nandakumar Sundaram, one of India's leading orthopedic surgeon, has joined the Nova team and will continue his surgical practice exclusively at Nova. As part of their first phase of the expansion plan for Chennai, Nova has taken over Helios Hospitals in Velacherry. Nova has also commenced work in Alwarpet to set up a super-specialty Short Stay Surgical facility by June 2012. In addition, Nova has commissioned a multi-specialty polyclinic in Adiyar.

Nova’s upcoming super specialty surgical center in Alwarpet will offer the people of Chennai innovative health services of unparalleled quality and affordability. The new facility will be equipped with world- class, state-of-the-art facilities and ultra-modern operation theatres in various specialties like Laparoscopy, Gastro Intestinal Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Pain Management. Helios Hospitals located in Velachery and satellite clinic for consultation and diagnostic located in Adyar, will serve as Nova’s facilities in Chennai which will run under the supervision of Dr. Nandakumar Sundaram.
